Biography Kat˘, Yasu (1907 - )

Born in Tokyo, Yasu Kat˘ graduated at the Kyoto College of Crafts and textiles in 1929. He studied printmaking with Hiratsuka Un'ichi, and was also influenced by Onchi K˘shir˘ and Kawanishi Hide. His most important period was after the war. He exhibited in Japan as well as abroad. His travels also yielded many prints showing European scenes.
